- The St. Clair County Collector of Revenue is the elected official responsible for collecting current and delinquent property taxes for the county and various political subdivisions within the county which have authorized property tax levies.
- The Collector is responsible for the accounting and distribution of collections to tax entities such as school, city, library, and fire districts.
- The Collector also collects merchant license fees.
The St. Clair County Collectors office provides taxpayers the option of paying their taxes on line. Payments for current & delinquent real estate and personal property taxes are accepted on line.
Please Note: The most delinquent year tax must be paid before the current year. Taxpayers may pay these taxes onlne with a credit card.
Credit cards accepted are American Express, Discover, Master Card & Visa.
A convenience fee will apply to each transaction when using this service.
The Collectors office does not charge or retain any of the transaction fees.
Before finalizing your transaction you will be asked to agree to the fee amount added.
The fee amounts for credit cards are 2.75% of the total tax owed.

Current tax statements will be mailed in mid November.
Due and payable with a December 31st postmark without penalties and interest.
Delinquent tax statements are mailed in March.
Delinquent tax sales are held the fourth Monday of August, starting at 10:00 am.
